The Flora and Fauna Legacy Generation 1: College 2

It was time for another two terms at Sims State University. Unfortunately, Eve hadn’t counted on Student Housing being expensive. So, she was forced to stay in a dorm once again. Since De Anda Hall was full this time, she opted for Malan Hall, which was much closer to campus. Hopefully she would gain enough credits to be able to graduate and wouldn’t have to even think about college again after this.
After Eve claimed her room, this time without a roommate, she got a phone call from Samantha, who was right outside. Eve ran downstairs as fast as she could and back outside, right into her girlfriend’s arms.

“I guess someone missed me,” Samantha teased, breathing in the scent of Eve’s peach scented shampoo.

Eve responded by kissing her girlfriend very passionately. Truthfully, it hadn’t been that long since they had seen one another, but it still felt like an eternity.
There was still a few hours before the Meet and Greet, so Eve and Samantha headed upstairs to Eve’s room. After Sam helped Eve make her bed, the two of them laid down on it, not doing very much else besides cuddling.

“We should just skip the Meet and Greet,” Samantha suggested, her more rebellious side showing.

Eve laughed. “It’s not that bad, at least we get free stuff.”

“You mean you’re just going to stock up on sodas again, aren’t you?”

“Hey, they’re a lifesaver between classes. You know I always get hungry or thirsty after a really long lesson.”

The Meet and Greet was very similar to last time. Eve had grabbed a few sodas and had opted to buy her candy bars from the vending machine as the free ones that were given out were very nasty. The only thing that she was displeased about was that her schedule was the exact same, which meant she would have to be up at 6AM in order to do her morning routine before heading to her 8AM class.
“Why does college have to suck?” Eve pouted after telling Samantha about her schedule.

Samantha pulled Eve into her arms. “It won’t be that bad,” she assured her. “By the way, I’m having a party tomorrow to celebrate the new term. You should come.”

“You know I’ll be there.”

The two of them skipped the rest of the Meet and Greet and Eve kept watch while Samantha tagged the wall outside of the Student Union Building. There was quite a bit of cover, so they didn’t get caught, luckily.
Eve turned in early that night, being completely exhausted. She wasn’t looking forward to getting up early in the morning. But that’s just how college life was. Some people drew the short straws when it came to their schedules.
Eve came downstairs the next morning, looking like death and yawning. But she managed to put on a smile for Sylvester as she filled his food and water bowls.

“Morning, Sylvester.” The Sixam responded by giving a soft hoot and preening his feathers.

After a quick shower and some cereal for breakfast, Eve sat down at one of the computers to browse the web for a little bit and work a little bit on her Writing.
Eve shivered as she ran through the cold air towards her first class. She hoped that the classroom would be warm, at least.
Her classes were mostly the same from last term, just slightly harder. Luckily, as the day went on, it started to warm up a little more and Eve no longer felt like her fingers and toes were going to fall off.
That evening, Eve went to Samantha’s party, despite being exhausted. Samantha, being the perceptive type, noticed right away how tired her girlfriend looked.

“You know, you didn’t have to come. You look like you’re about to drop at any second.”

Eve stifled a yawn. “I’m fine!” she insisted. “I just need to get my second wind, that’s all.”

Samantha sighed, knowing how stubborn her girlfriend could be at times and pulled her in for a kiss. “Seriously, go lay down in my bed.”

Eve knew better than to argue and kissed her girlfriend again, before heading up the stairs.

But Eve wasn’t about to get in Samantha’s bed without taking a shower first. She could hear the party happening downstairs and felt a little bad that she was going to miss the majority of it just because she couldn’t stay awake long enough.
“I don’t know why you invited her, Sam,” Ashley commented as she helped Holly with a kegstand. “I mean, who comes to a Sorority party to sleep?”

Samantha glared at her fellow Sorority sister. “If she wants to come to the party and count the little bumps in the ceiling, she can. So back off.”

Ashley huffed as Samantha took her turn with the keg. “Whatever. She better not have used up all the hot water,” she muttered under her breath. Samantha heard what she said, but didn’t feel like getting into an altercation.
Eve was much more well rested the next morning and was able to perform her class activity with a lot of energy. Although, a lot of that probably had to to with the two cups of coffee she had this morning, since one of the dormies had finally managed to figure out how to work the coffee maker.
The rest of the day was mostly uneventful. Eve had worked on her skills, did some studying, and Facetimed with Samantha. That evening, she took it upon herself to cook something other than hot dogs and mac n cheese for dinner. She’d found a recipe for Spaghetti with Veggie sauce that she wanted to try out.
After setting the servings out, Eve sat down to eat and was joined by a few of her other dormmates. After a few unsure bites, they proclaimed that it was delicious and asked Eve to make more again in the future, saying it definitely beat cheap mac n cheese or microwaved hotdogs.
Eve thanked Cid for cleaning up the dishes, rather surprised that he was doing so as most of the dormies were known for being slobs. She went ahead and gathered the plates that hadn’t been touched and put them with the bigger serving plate to be used for leftovers over the next few days.
Eve spent some time talking to one of her dormmates before bed. But it was hard keeping up with who she lived with that she couldn’t remember the young woman’s name by the time she went to bed that night.
The next morning, one of the dormies had been nice enough to make waffles. As Eve sat down to eat, she scrunched up her nose at a rather foul smell before noticing that the smell was coming from Tiberius.

“Do you need some deoderant? I have some in my room.” Eve figured that maybe he had just run out and hadn’t had a chance to get more yet.

Tiberius slurped the sauce covered noodles, making Eve cringe at the sound. “What? I don’t need any deoderant. I washed my armpits with a washcloth this morning.” She looked in horror as he spoke with his mouth full, forcing her to look up at he chewed up sauce and noodles.

Eve shuddered, having lost her appetite and headed upstairs to finish getting ready.

Eve spent her time inbetween classes studying or browsing her social media and dabbling with the guitar that was just sitting in the quad. She couldn’t call herself a musician, but she did find playing to be very relaxing.
Eve was starving by the time she finished with her classes, but the last thing on her mind was cooking. So, she headed to the bowling alley to grab a donut. While eating, she got a text from Samantha about another party. Since Eve was a lot more awake than the other night, she knew she’d be able to enjoy this one.
Eve arrived at the Sorority just as Sam was doing a kegstand with Lizzie. Eve couldn’t help noticing much Lizzie was struggling to hold up her girlfriend.
Suddenly, there was a loud thump as Lizzie dropped Sam right on her face. Samantha cursed and rubbed her head. Lizzie tried to help her up, but Samantha pushed her away, not meaning to be rude. But her head was throbbing something fierce.

“Ugh, I thought you were supposed to be strong. You’re a Physical Sports major for crying out loud!”

Samantha’s frown changed into a smile the minute she saw that Eve had arrived.

“Hey, babe. You didn’t see any of that, did you?”

“Yeah, I did. That looked like it hurt.”

Samantha chuckled. “You’d think someone who majors in Sports would be a little stronger.”

Lizzie rolled her eyes. “Oh just let it go!”

Something set Eve off and she turned to Lizzie. “You should have been more careful! If you felt your grip slipping, then you should’ve set her down gently! You could have really hurt her!”

“Whoa, calm down! It was an accident! Geez, are you PMSing or something?”

Before Eve could say anything, Samantha grabbed her and pulled her away.

The two of them went down into the basement where Sam turned on some music before pulling Eve close and beginning to sway.

“Sam, I don’t want–“

“Shhhh…you really need to calm down. I appreciate you defending me, but it really was an accident. I was more annoyed than hurt.”

Eve sighed. “I was probably too hard on her, huh? It just seemed like she wasn’t all that sorry about it.”

“I know, but try not to let it get to you. This probably won’t be the last time someone drops me.”

Eve managed to laugh as she danced closer to Sam, feeling much better now.

Eve had planned on apologizing to Lizzie once they were back upstairs, but she had already left, not wanting to stay at this party any longer. Eve decided to worry about it later and began preparing food, noticing a few people were complaining about being hungry.
Surprisingly, Ashley joined Eve and Sam for the meal, surprising Eve, who thought that the blonde didn’t like her very much. She was even more surprised when Ashley complimented her cooking skills. Eve guessed that Ashley could be nice when she wanted to be.
Eve was too tired to head home after the party was over, so she opted to stay the night. Samantha cuddled very close to her as they slept. It was definitely one of the better night’s sleeps that Eve had had in a while.
Final exams were soon happening and Eve went into hers still slightly nervous, but with a sliver of confidence that she would pass, which she did. This was definitely cause for celebration.
When Eve made it back to the dorms, she sent out texts to everyone she knew, saying that there would be a Keg Party at Malan Hall. After that, she ordered a keg, then set about to make some snacks for her guests.
Everyone that Eve invited ended up showing up and even her dormies ended up joining in on the fun. Everyone took turns doing keg stands and there was even a bit of eye candy with two of the best looking guys streaking around and giving everyone a show, much to their pleasure. Even Eve had to admit they had nice buns.
On top of the snacks, Eve had ordered a couple of large pizzas for everyone, knowing that the snacks probably wouldn’t be enough with how much some of these people ate. Throughout the night, she continuously played hostess, making sure that the keg was filled when it needed to be and making sure bathrooms were open for the people who had drank too much juice.
Some people wouldn’t hold their juice as well as others and ended up passing out in various places upstairs. Since they weren’t hurting anyone, Eve decided to leave them alone. Mostly because she didn’t want to try and move them and risk them throwing up all over her.
There might of been a little bit of juice in both Eve and Sam’s systems that night when the two of them went upstairs to Eve’s room. What was supposed to be a little bit of cuddling and kissing ended up turning into so much more. But neither young woman would ever regret what had happened. This was something they had both been wanting for a long time, and who cared if it took a little bit of liquid courage to do it?
There were still a few people passed out the next day when Eve got up in the later morning after Samantha had left to go back to the Sorority. She stepped over a few party guests and headed into the kitchen, opening the fridge and peering inside at its contents. She hadn’t drank enough to really have a hangover, thankfully. But she was still starving.
Once Eve had something to eat, she headed up to the third floor to do a morning exercise on the treadmill. Luckily, everyone else was still feeling the affects of last night to come in and see her making a complete fool of herself. Maybe she was still a little more juiced?
With it finally being Spring, the weather warmed up a little and Eve was able to trade in her sweater and leggings for a much lighter outfit that she had seen the other day that she just had to get. After her morning exercise, she sat down to enjoy a nice cup of coffee, hoping it would help get rid of this still juiced feeling. She couldn’t imagine how everyone else would be feeling when they woke up later.
Eve ended up going to another party later that day, but this one was more subdued with not much drinking, thankfully. Eve spent most of the time with Sam, which the young woman didn’t mind one bit.
Eve spent the rest of the weekend at the Sorority House. But, like all weekends, it went by way too fast and soon it was time for another term. Eve sighed as she got up that Monday morning, mentally preparing herself for more early classes.
After one of her classes, Eve had caught a lizard, named her Lizzie, and bought a nice terrarium for her to live in. While she was a bit of a biter, she was still affectionate and bonded easily with Eve.
Thankfully, it wasn’t all classes and studying and crittur catching for Eve. She also attended a few more parties, most of them bonfire parties. The best part was that Samantha was at all of these. So, the two of them spent a lot of time together.

Eve even decided to pick up a little bit of fishing. The truth was, she was horrible at it, but it was one of those things she found relaxing and was determined to keep practicing until she became better. She even managed to catch a few small fish.
After a slow term, Eve took her second batch of final exams, this time passing them with flying colours and not being accused of cheating. Not only that, she had managed to receive enough credits to graduate. In just a few days, she would be free from college life, forever.
Eve celebrated by joining in on a protest that was happening that evening about radiation and the damage it was doing. It turned out to be a great success with a lot of students showing up.
Eve also added a new friend to her ever growing pet family, an African Grey Parrot that she named Lory.
Eve also received her report card and was pleased when she found out that she passed with a B! It was definitely better than the C she’d gotten last term and it was more than enough for her to complete the degree. Now all that was left to do was attend graduation.
The graduation ceremony was longwinded with so many speakers that Eve almost dozed off a few times. Thankfully it finally ended and Eve was able to celebrate with Sam. She had wanted to spend some time with her before heading back to Hidden Springs. But the van arrived too soon to pick her up. Sam promised to visit her within the next few days after Eve got settled at home.

That’s it for this chapter! I know it was pretty all over the place. I got so bored with the last week of uni that I skipped over a lot of stuff. It was really boring, to be honest. The next chapter should be out soon, since I’ve played ahead and the first child of Generation 2 is already a toddler with another baby on the way. I hope you enjoy and as always, here are some “bloopers” or just pictures that didn’t fit in with the chapter!

See, this is why Bonfires are supposed to be outside.

“Welp, I put the chair fire out. You can handle the rest, right? I gotta go drop a load.”

Yes, she really just left that poor girl to burn. Luckily, the fire put itself out, but the poor girl was left a little singed. She’s still alive though. So, that counts for something.

I really hate Murphy beds. I keep waiting for them to kill one of my sims one day. Hasn’t happened yet, but watch one of my heirs be the lucky ones.
I’d be miserable too if I had to attend a lecture by myself. Seriously, she was always the only one there for Class Activities and Lectures. Not sure if that’s a bug or if all the other Communications students graduated during the last two terms. At least her pouts are cute. 🙂
“Girl! You can’t just come over here and start grabbing my food!”

“Watch me.”

Gotta find that perfect engagement ring, somehow. Because we all know she won’t be able to afford one from any of those hoity toity jewelers.
